WHY?
Having the opportunity to work at Snappysnaps (photographic services) I was able to see the immense amount of waste every day, week, and month.
ESPECIALLY PLASTICS from disposable cameras.
This made me reconsider WHAT I was buying and HOW I was using it.
(these are piles of 1. negative films, 2. thrown away disposable film cameras, and 3. shredded photographs left uncollected)
WHAT?
After numerous research & studies, I have found that DISPOSABLE FILM CAMERAS are REUSABLE.
The intention of this installation is not only to educate “how to re-use disposable cameras” but also to raise awareness of daily things we buy without a second thought.
