I AM

Magazine Issue #01
This project, titled ‘I AM,’ goes beyond Fashion Magazines by exploring the personal narratives of young adults as they navigate their identities through fashion. In a world dominated by consumerism, which subtly shapes our identities and often blinds us to our true selves, this project challenges social norms and encourages the mindset: ‘I AM’ - WHO I AM, not WHAT I HAVE. It emphasizes the importance of embracing our authentic selves and appreciating the unique opportunities life presents.



Interactive Elements:

The black cover, designed like a shirt, signifies 'I AM,' making a bold statement about individuality. The cover reacts to heat, revealing a colorful nature image underneath, symbolizing the underlying colors of individuality. Additionally, each featured individual's page includes a silver-coated, statue-like portrait meant to be scratched off like a lottery ticket, revealing a colored, smiling portrait underneath. This ‘reveal’ conveys the idea that true beauty emanates from within and is only unveiled when one breaks free from societal constraints. It emphasizes the importance of embracing our authentic selves and appreciating the unique opportunities life presents. Each individual is a valuable creation of God, capable of being who 'I AM.'
