The outcome is an interactive installation that acts as a catalyst to bring students together and encourage the development of empathy between those facing social anxiety. We aimed to turn 'social anxiety' into something we can face through 'empathy'. The Gashapon Machine encourages students to build new relationships without them necessarily needing to interact. This will serve as a ‘first social step’. By sharing each other’s intrusive thoughts and worries, hopefully, students facing social anxiety can empathize with each other and learn that their feelings are mutual.” ft. bathroom where people feel most authentic & vulnerable 🚽
